Shanghai impressions: Loving Shanghai –in between all the installing, deinstalling and attending the fair, I was so fortunate to walk in local neighborhood and to try so many amazing experimental coffees and got fed by the amazing Paloma Arts foundation with amazing food from all corners of China. Even though my Chinese is lacking I’ve meet and talked to so many fantastic people on and off the art fair.

Kom og oplev en aften med kunst, bobler og gode samtaler! Vi inviterer til åbning af vores udstilling ’Spejlinger’ den 28. November kl. 16.00 -19.00. Udstillingen er produktet af vores residency på ODP3 og har åbent i alt 5 dage. Vi håber du vil kigge forbi i åbningstiderne eller efter aftale.

Fredag 28/11 kl. 17.30–18.00 – Fernisering og Live Talk ved Martine Munksø/Femmunity. Live samtale om hvordan Kunstfotograf Trine Søndergaard, Erhvervspsykolog Pernille Hippe Brun & skuespiller Simon Sears arbejder med spejlinger i deres virke. (åbent 16.00–19.00)
Søndag 30/11 kl. 11.00–13.00 – Sidste udstillingsdag.

I Spejlinger inviterer Josefine Winding og Nina K Ekman publikum ind i en fælles proces, hvor de bytter materialer, træder ind i hinandens rum og lader grænsen mellem dit og mit opløse sig. Resultatet er en udstilling, hvor to stemmer bliver til et fælles tredje.

Begge har en baggrund i psykologi, men valgte efter de fyldte 30 at gå kunstens vej. Deres værker er både forskellige – figurative, nonfigurative – men også fælles i deres taktilitet, krop og nysgerrighed. Se mere om udstillingen i link i Bio 🔗🔗

Excited to be part of the 7th Edition of Women Pulling at The Threads of Social Discourse: Don’t be Absurd at The Contemporary Art Modern Project in Miami. (October 17 - December 20, 2025)

My work is inspired by one of my favorite books, Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett.

This year’s edition of: Women Pulling at The Threads of Social Discourse, and Guests, is an exploration of Absurdism done through the hands of fiber artists. Over 117 Women artists and guests were asked to refer to works by: Albert Camus, Franz Kafka, Simone De Beauvoir, Samuel Beckett, and Jose Saramago and interpret the writings into circular fiber responses that, through materiality, convey the tensions of an imaginary suspension between existential reflection and visual language. The exhibition opens Friday, October 17, at 6pm in The CAMP Gallery, North Miami Gallery.

Norwegian artist Nina K Ekman, currently based in Copenhagen, works across painting, etching, and textile-based sculpture. In recent years, she has focused on tufting as a primary medium—engaging both its material potential and its historical association with domestic craft.

Drawing from her early experiences in northern Norway, Ekman’s practice considers the evolving relationship between humans and the natural world. Her use of second-hand clothing and industrial surplus yarn speaks to a broader interest in sustainability, resource circulation, and the environmental consequences of consumer culture.

While visually accessible, her works often confront questions of ecological urgency, circularity, and personal responsibility.

Copenhagen Calling! My wonderful network, after three inspiring years in California, I'm thrilled to be returning and see you all in real life and to the vibrant art scene of Copenhagen! 🇩🇰 I'm on the lookout for a wonderful artist studio / atelier in central Copenhagen or Greater Copenhagen (within a 20-minute bike ride from Nørreport in any direction). Ideally, I need a space between 30 and 60 m², available around August 1st, 2025.
Whether it's an independent studio or a fantastic space within a supportive shared atelier environment, I'd be incredibly grateful for any leads you might have. A space where I can close the door to embrace the delightful sounds of creation is a must! 😉

Thank you all for all the lovely wishes from near and far for my birthday- I’ve had the best time camping with my amazing kids and husband -and making food over the campfire - which is one of my most favorite things do apart from working in the studio;-) and to be a bit off the grid and see Grand Canyon - amazing Antilope canyon - then on to more rocks in Arches, Zion and Bryce. A much needed family time after all my travels and shows and working around the clock. So thank you to everyone- for all the support this year of orbiting around the sun. I think these pictures inside my newest installation in Wuhan C Lab(thank you @wuhan_c_lab & @yiweigallery) shows how happy and deep gratitude I feel about this adventurous year - showing my art on 3 continents ☀️ and soon leaving for the next adventure- an artist residency in Bolivia @villa_albina @fundacionpatino
